I started this website to log all my flights with my Aquilla II microlight, which I bought in 2005. In 2004 I did my PPL, but after my first flight in a microlight I was hooked. This was flying! The Aquilla II's registration number is ZU-DVE thus, the website ZU-DVE.COM.

In 2008 I bought another microlight, ZS-WUO which is a Aquilla Windlass, and much more basic, but also more "nippy" than ZU-DVE. I keep one at Morningstar, close to Cape Town, and the other at our weekend home at a small town called Aurora, about 100 miles from Cape Town.

Before 2004, in fact well before 2004 I experimented with flight, and although the terms airflow, lift and drag were not known to me, I experienced the disappointment of a lack of the former two, and an excess of the latter.
